PM promises govt to make every effort to stabilize labor market

MOSCOW, Sep 26 (PRIME) -- The government will make every effort to stabilize Russia’s labor market and will instantly react to any changes, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin told his deputies at a meeting on Monday.

“The government will continue to do everything necessary for the stability on the labor market and react instantly to the changing situation,” he said.

Employers will not terminate labor agreements with those enlisted into the army under the limited mobilization, the employees will hold down their jobs, Mishustin said.

The government will prolong the program to support employees of the companies, which plan to cut jobs or stop operations soon, until the end of 2023. It will also expand the special employment regime for the staff of the companies that have left Russia or suspended local operations.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said during the meeting that the period of voluntary participation in Russia’s military operation in Ukraine will be added to a person’s pensionable employment record.

Mishustin also said that the government will send additional 3 billion rubles to 46 Russia’s regions for upgrade of primary medical services including purchases of equipment.
